Now, I say dessert, but to be quite honest, I had this crisp for lunch the first day I made it..... Then for my afternoon snack the very next day. My new favorite apple dish may taste like a dessert but it has the nutrition breakdown of a healthy afternoon snack. With 7 grams of filling fiber, only 273 calories per generous serving, and all the vitamins and minerals that comes with a dish loaded to the brim with apples, oats, flax, and walnuts, this is bound to become a new fall favorite.

It's amazing plain but I've also topped it with frozen yogurt, whipped cream, and a drizzle of caramel..... All with AMAZING results! My only advice is you might want to double the recipe, because it won't last long!!

I made these chocolatey bites of heaven the other day out of black beans and bananas. No flour, no butter and only 1/2 cup of sugar and I'm telling you..... They are awesome! You absolutely will not find a better brownie that's under 150 calories that tastes this great.

Incredibly flavorful yet mild enough for the whole family, this lean hotdog chili is made with simple healthy ingredients.
I don't know about you, but evenings in this house tend to get rather hectic. Between orchestrating toy clean up, baths and showers for the two older ones, and calming my 2 month old who without fail still gets extremely fussy between 5-7pm every evening, dinner time just sneaks up on me. I confess, over the summer my kiddos have eaten their fair share of nuggets and Kraft ;) The thing is, I really WANT to cook up a healthy family dinner but I either need it to be ridiculously simple with minimal prep work OR I need to able to throw it all in the crock pot earlier in the afternoon. So I did a mixture of both.

My husband is SUCH fan of these breakfast potatoes. BONUS: You can literally make them in 15 minutes, one handed, while you juggle a baby on your hip. :P I know because that is exactly how these were made!! The trick to quickening the cooking process is microwaving the potatoes beforehand. Once you do that, it's just a matter of throwing them on a hot skillet with your favorite spices and bam... Done and done. Jeff and I LOVE these potatoes paired with over-easy eggs and turkey sausage for a truly hearty and healthy meal, but you could also throw some bacon, red onion, and scramble some eggs in for an easy one pan meal. This recipe is extremely forgiving, so feel free to get creative with the spices and add ins. What are some of your favorite variations?
